Dear colleagues, we present to your attention the announcement of the upcoming issue of the FBA EAC Herald. This issue is a special 20th anniversary edition and also the first one for 2025.
The issue begins with the Main News of FBA EAC. The year 2024 was filled with significant events that are important not only for FBA EAC but also for the development of international relations. In this issue, we will present:
A report on the activities of the Financial and Business Association of Eurasian Cooperation for the year 2024. Li Shuobing, President of the Financial and Business Association of Eurasian Cooperation and CEO of the SLC Group, highlighted the appointments to leadership positions within the Association and discussed the main results of its work.
The XXI International Banking Forum in Sochi (Association of Banks of Russia, September 25-28, 2024) gathered 600 participants, making it one of the largest and most representative events in the country. The forum showcased priority areas for the import substitution of IT solutions, prospects for the development of digital projects in the financial sector, and inter-industry collaboration among industrial centers of competence.
The participation and presentation by Mr. Li Shuobing at the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference «Management of Innovative and Investment Processes and Changes in Modern Conditions» (St. Petersburg, October 24-25, 2024) proved to be significant. This conference took place during the anniversary year of Russian-Chinese cooperation. Mr. Li Shuobing delivered a report titled «Changing Risk Structures in Promoting Innovations Amidst the Digital Transformation of the Economy,» in which he focused on the changing risk structures associated with the formation of the «digital economy» and their significant impact on internal communications within enterprises.
The X Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum «Building Bridges, Not Walls: Business Eurasia in a New Reality» (Moscow, November 21, 2024) focuses on fostering relationships within the business community of the Greater Eurasia region. Cooperation is a defining resource in the work of FBA EAC. For over 10 years, the association has been creating favorable conditions for strengthening reliable connections with representatives from the banking and financial sector, business, academia, and experts from more than 25 countries around the world.
XV Anniversary Indo-Russian Business Dialogue – the event gathered over 520 participants, including representatives from government structures, business, and scientific and cultural organizations. Special attention was given to the strategic role of India in the emerging multipolar world, overcoming existing barriers, and entering new industry markets.
The journal will cover the celebration of the Chinese New Year in Moscow in 2025: a vibrant symbol of cultural exchange and economic cooperation. This year, the holiday reached unprecedented scale in Moscow, transforming the city into a true bridge between the cultures of the two countries.
The journal will also provide an engaging overview of the economic challenges faced by regions and their development prospects.
Minister of Economic Development of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Artur Arsenovich Yezaov, will discuss the development of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, addressing issues, prospects for cooperation, and trade-economic relations.
The Republic of Bashkortostan will be represented by Rustem Zifovich Fathullin – President of the Businessmen Association of the Republic. The discussion will focus on the development of business in Bashkortostan, exploring new horizons for collaboration and enhancing activity in the business sector.
Lyubov Koryakova, Head of the consulting agency SMART D-vision and business consultant at IDPO – «HES» SPbU, will share the results of a study conducted on attracting and retaining personnel in industrial enterprises across our country, in connection with the implementation of the import substitution program and the growth of industrial production.
In the section «Eurasian Economic Prospects: Challenges and Solutions,» Alexander Vasilyevich Murychev, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Chairman of the Board of FBA EAC, and Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs for Financial Policy and Economic Sector Development, will discuss the development of business cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the BRICS countries.
Anastasia Dmitrievna Krivonos, the Development Director of the «Canavara group», gave an interview about the effective directions for transforming international trade for logistics companies.
This issue of the journal will highlight the development directions of the Euro-Asian Cooperation Financial Market .
Yana Viktorovna Epifanova — Vice President of the Association of Russian Banks will share information on the status of the digital ruble in 2025.
Mikhailyshin Andrey Yuryevich — Chairman of the Commission on Payment Systems and Cross-Border Settlements of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation will highlight the main difficulties of the current system of international settlements in trade between the BRICS countries.
Scientists from the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education «Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University)» will share their scientific research that is currently underway.
Melerzanov Alexander Viktorovich — Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of Projects of the Technology Transfer Center will talk about artificial intelligence and the creation of modern digital platforms within the structure of Eurasian cooperation.
Gavrilov Dmitry Alexandrovich, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Center for Science and Technology of Artificial Intelligence and Leus Andrey Vladimirovich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Laboratory of Digital Systems for Special Purposes, will highlight the areas of work in the field of creating rational robotization.
Highlighting the environmental direction is equally important, as the environmental agenda is currently a key issue in all countries of the world. In the section on the environmental vector of Eurasian economic cooperation, researchers will share their scientific findings:
Bagiev Georgy Leonidovich — Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honorary Member of the Guild of Marketers will address issues related to the innovative concept of management and marketing as a factor in ensuring the ecological and economic balance of the economy.
Donchenko Vladislav Konstantinovich — Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Laboratory of Economic Problems of Environmental Safety of the St. Petersburg Scientific Research Center for Environmental Safety of the Russian Academy of Sciences will talk about the energy transition and achieving carbon neutrality, which will stimulate the development of a circular economy in China and Russia.
Bezdudnaya Anna Geroldovna — Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Management and Innovation at SPbGEU, Executive Director of the «Scientific and Educational Center for Ecological and Economic Research of the Arctic» will share research on how to use the experience of the People’s Republic of China in the development of the green economy. Reducing the carbon footprint — one of the global environmental problems — is directly related to reducing carbon gas emissions into the atmosphere.
